So The Times Have Predicted That 2013 Will Be Massive For Metal

With new albums from the likes of Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon and the inevitably, globe-conquering rise of Of Mice And Men, While She Sleeps and others, The Times reckon that metal is going to take over in 2013. We reckon that too but we’re well biased.

“If 2012 allowed Britain to define itself as a wholesome nation devoted to its sportsmen and its Queen, then this year is going to come as quite a shock,” states the article, which you need to be subscribed to the site to read in full.

“Predictions by music industry experts suggest that the soundtrack for 2013 will be distorted guitars and hoarse vocals as heavy metal and rock music make their biggest resurgence since the wave of nu-metal bands in the late 1990s.”

The feature goes on to point out the success of Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon as markers for a massive year for our fair old genre.
